Man Arrested Over Methadone And Handgun Seizure

Methadone worth an estimated €3,000 has been seized along with a handgun from a house in the Abbotstown area of Finglas.

A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the finds, which were made by garda from Finglas and members of Cabra drugs unit during a raid on Tuesday afternoon.

Garda say that the man has been released without charge and is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.

Man Face 18 Charges Of Indecent Assault
A 65-year-old man has appeared in court charged 18 counts of indecently assaulting two boys in a Westmeath primary school 18 years ago. Brother Thomas McCarry, with an address at Clareville, Finglas Road, Glasnevin faces charges relating to two separate boys at the CBS primary school in Mullingar 1984 and 1985.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.
