Man Critical After Arriving At Garda Station Suffering Gunshot Wounds

A man is in a critical condition after being shot a number of times in the neck and upper body in a west Dublin church car park on Wednesday evening.

The man, aged in his 30s, managed to drive himself to Clondalkin Garda Station, despite having been seriously injured in the shooting at around 18:00 yesterday.

It has been established that the man was shot in the car park of Bawnogue Church.

The car park, part of Tower Road and Clondalkin Garda Station has been closed pending a forensic examination.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information on the incident to contact them at Clondalkin Garda Station on 01-6667600 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111.

Man Killed In Saggart Shooting
An investigation has been launched into the death of a man following a shooting in Saggart in Co Dublin. It is understood a man in his 40s was attacked at about 23:00 on Tuesday at a house in Botherboy. He was later pronounced dead at Tallaght Hospital. The scene of the shooting has been sealed off pending a forensic examination.

An elderly man has been taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries in an overnight attack in county Cork. The pensioner, a man in his 70s, received a punctured lung and other injuries when he was set upon in a car park in Sleaveen East in Macroom. A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and taken to Bandon Garda Station.

Witnesses Sought After Cars Rammed At Kiltake Service Station
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to an incident at Kiltake, Co Meath on Thursday, 15 September. At approximately 11.30am yesterday, officers with Operation Thor were on patrol in the Kiltale area when they observed a "target vehicle", a silver VW Golf with four males in the forecourt of a service station.
