Man Seriously Assaulted In Dublin

A man is recovering in hospital after being viciously assaulted in Coolock, Dublin, on Thursday night.

The victim was stabbed in the leg and had an unknown substance thrown in his face.

The attack happened at the Northside Shopping Centre at around 8.50pm.

He is currently recovering in Beaumount Hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Girl Attacked By Dog In Limerick
A six-year-old girl has been attacked by a dog in Limerick. The victim was playing near her home in Lynwood Park on Thursday evening when the attack happened. The child has injuries to her face and body and is currently recovering in hospital. The dog has been put down. Gardai are currently investigating the incident.

Man Stabbed Multiple Times In Cork City
Gardaí are investigating after a man was stabbed a number of times in Cork city last night, Sunday 12 May. The 30-year-old was attacked at Ardmore Avenue, Knocknaheeny at around 10.50pm. He is recovering in Cork University Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing.

Gardaí Appeal For Missing Man Greg Ward
Gardaí are appealing for help in tracing missing Dublin man Greg Ward. Mr Ward, 31, was last seen in Blanchardstown on Sunday 3 May. He is described as being 6'2" in height and has a vast amount of tattoos and piercings over his body. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Garda Launch Donabate Murder Investigation
Gardaí in Swords investigating a shooting incident in Donabate County Dublin yesterday, have confirmed the death of a man. Michael Taylor, 53, was shot at least twice in the head at Hand's Caravan Park in Donabate yesterday around 4.40pm. He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he was described as being in a serious condition.

Toddler Attacked By Wild Tapir Is Released From Hospital
A two-year-old girl who was attacked by a wild tapir in Dublin Zoo has been released from hospital. The toddler was discharged from Temple Street Children's Hospital on Thursday after a week long stay. Katie sustained injuries to her arm and abdomen in the attack and had to undergo surgery. It is believed the child is recovering well.
