Sea Rescue Boy Loses Fight For Life
A nine-year-old boy has died three days after he fell into the sea near Blackhead lighthouse in north Clare.
Aaron O'Flaherty, from Limerick city, fell into the sea last Sunday while out with his father at a popular angling spot.
According to reports the boys father jumped in to the water in an effort to rescue him but a strong wave separated the father and son.
An Irish Coast Guard helicopter was dispatched and the child was airlifted to Galway University Hospital.
He was transferred to Temple Street Hospital in Dublin on Monday, but he lost his fight for life on Thursday.

Missing Five-Year-Old Boy Found 'Safe And Well'
A young boy missing from Dun Laoghaire has been found "safe and well", Gardaí have reported. Richard Roche, aged 5, went missing from the People's Park on Sunday, 02 July. However, he has now been found and Gardaí wish to express their thanks to all members of the public and media for their assistance.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Crash
Gardaí in Co Westmeath are appealing to witnesses of a fatal road accident on the Athlone bypass on Sunday afternoon. A five-month-old baby boy died after the car he was travelling in veered off the road onto the hard shoulder and collided with the crash barrier. A three-year-old girl was also injured in the collision.

Roadstone Management Condemned For Using 'Bully Boy Tactics' On Workers
Management at Roadstone Woods have been accused of using 'bully boy tactics' after taking €10m from payroll costs. At a meeting with SIPTU and TEEU shop stewards, the management also threatened to close some of its operations and place all workers on proactive notice.
