Upgrade Plans For Doonbeg Golf Resort Unveiled
Plans for a major upgrade of Doonbeg golf course in Co Clare have been unveiled by Donald Trump, who has made his first trip to the site since paying €15m for the course earlier this year.
The US billionaire has said that he plans for Doonbeg to become "one of the iconic golf courses in the world".
Mr Trump is visiting the site along with his sons, Donald Jnr and Eric, and his daughter, Ivanka.
The Trump family were met at Shannon Airport by Finance Minister Michael Noonan, Mayor of Clare Joe Arkins and Chairperson of the Airport, Rose Hynes.
It is understood that Mr Trump is planning to triple what he spent buying the course to invest in the site and estimated that "hundreds" of jobs could be created by the upgrade plan.

The Anti Austerity Alliance (AA) has called for a protest against Donald Trump after the US Presidential hopeful revealed he would be visiting Ireland next month. In a series of tweets, the Republican Party candidate said he would be in Scotland on 22 June to visit his golf resorts in Turnberry and Aberdeen.

Man's Body Found At Cork Golf Course
The body of a man has been found at a golf club in Co Cork. It is understood ground staff at the Lee Valley Golf Club found the body in a man-made lake at the course's 12th hole. Emergency services attended the scene. The course was later closed as a mark of respect.

A demonstration was held at the Garden of Remembrance on Thursday 06 June, attended by trade unions, students, community activists and several political groups.
