Travel Privileges Removed From Striking Cabin Crew

Staff travel privileges have been withdrawn from all Aer Lingus cabin crew who took part in Friday's work stoppage.

IMPACT union members at the airline are involved in industrial action over work rosters.

It is understood that staff who participated in strike action on Friday received a letter at their homes informing them that their entitlement to staff travel privileges, which allowed them and their families to travel at reduced fares, have been removed.

The letter did not state when the privilege might be restored.

The staff where also informed that they would lose a day's pay for taking part in the strike. IMPACT and Aer Lingus are due to meet on Thursday.
