SIPTU Back Industrial Action At Iarnród Éireann
SIPTU members at Iarnród Éireann have voted in favour of industrial action, should the company move to enforce cost reduction measures and pay cuts.
It is understood that the union members, some 2,000 staff, backed industrial action by 2 to 1, however rejected a full strike by the same margin.
It follows a Labour Court recommendation to back cost saving measures at the firm, which the union rejected.
