National Gallery Attendants Stage One-Day Strike
SIPTU members at the National Gallery held a one-day strike on Thursday in a dispute over plans to reduce annual leave by seven days.
Thirty nine attendants, who are responsible for management and maintenance of rooms, staged the strike after they rejected a Labour Court recommendation in the dispute.
SIPTU have said that they remain available for talks with management but stressed that any talks would have to be "meaningful".

Talks Offer As 'Tip' Ambulance Strike Looms
Although industrial action is to start within 48 hours, a trade union is saying it can still enter 11-hour talks to avert ambulance staff walking out in Co Tipperary. The action is due to start on Thursday at midnight as crews of the North Tipperary Ambulance Service withdraw their non-emergency services.

SIPTU Members In Lagan Brick Vote For Strike Action
SIPTU members in Lagan Brick have voted to take strike action at the company’s premises in Kingscourt, Co Cavan. The move follows the company’s refusal to attend a Labour Court hearing aimed at resolving the long running dispute at the brick manufacturing plant.

Latest Aer Lingus Talks Welcomed
Fianna Fáil spokesperson on Transport, Tourism & Sport Timmy Dooley has welcomed a decision by Aer Lingus unions and management to re-enter talks over their ongoing roster dispute. The row has led to IMPACT members threatening a 24 hour strike this Friday.

Element Six Strike Action Deferred For Talks Continuation
Strike action due to begin today, 21 September, at Element Six in Shannon, Co Clare, has been deferred, SIPTU the union has announced. The 24-hour work stoppage has been put back for two weeks to continue talks with management at the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC).

SIPTU Members At NAS Announce All Out Strike Action
SIPTU members in the National Ambulance Service (NAS) have served notice of all out strike action from Wednesday, 10 August. It follows a ballot held earlier this month in which NAS union members voted by 92% to 8% in favour of industrial action, up to and including strike action.
