Two Die In Motorcycle Collision In Co Clare
Two people have died in a collision between two motorcycles in Co Clare.
According to Gardaí, a group of three motorcycles, each carrying two people, were travelling in one direction on N67 Ennistymon Road at about 18:45 on Thursday. At the same time, a lone motorcyclist was travelling in the opposite direction.
The exact details of the collision are not yet known, but Garda say they think that one of the group of motorcycles collided with the lone motorcyclist.
It is understood that one person died in the collision, with a second person dying at the scene a short time later. A third person is being treated at Galway University Hospital, for non-life threatening injuries.
It is understood that the group of three motorcyclists were all Italians and that the lone motorcyclist was German.
An investigation into the collision is underway.

Two Dead In Separate Collisions
Two people have died on Ireland's roads after traffic collisions in Dublin and Kilkenny in the last two days. In the latest incident, a male aged 19 was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle. His body was taken to Tallaght Hospital.

Two gardaí motorcycle officers are being treated in hospital after being involved in a collision in Co Sligo. It is understood that the officers were responding to a road traffic accident on the Manorhamilton Road when they were involved in a collision. No details of how the crash happened have been released.

A Northern Ireland-based motorcyclist has died following a crash at the Killalane Road Races, near Skerries, in north County Dublin. Victor Gilmore, 42, from Ballymoney was critically injured after he came off his bike at around 1.20pm on Sunday. The Irish police said he was rushed to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, but was then pronounced dead.

In the first incident, a 32-year-old male driver of a van was fatally injured when his vehicle collided with a stationary combine harvester. Nobody else was injured in the crash.
