Man Dies After Being Struck By Van In County Mayo

Gardaí in Co Mayo have reported the death of a man in his 60s after he was hit by a truck.

It is understood that the man was struck by the van at around 03:30am on the Ballycastle Road in Killala.

The elderly man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van escaped uninjured.

Garda say that they are investigating the cir circumstances surrounding the mans death.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Garda Investigate Sudden Death In Co Donegal
Gardaí have appealed for information following the sudden death of a man in Buncrana, Co Donegal. The body of a man, believed to be aged in mid-40s, was discovered at a house in Oakfield Close at approximately 6.30pm on Sunday, 18 March.
