New Proposals For Reductions At Bausch + Lomb

A new set of cost reduction proposals are to be presented to Bausch + Lomb employees, following ten days of negotiations between the company's owners and SIPTU and the TEEU.

The Co Waterford-based firm had originally been seeking 200 redundancies and up to a 20% pay cut for remaining staff.

It is understood that no agreement has yet been reached but that the proposals for cuts have been modified and the party's will reconvene their meeting on Thursday night to present new, alternate, cost reduction proposals.
