Man Released Following Dublin Shooting

A man has been released without charge after being questioned in connection with the shooting of a boy in Dublin on Friday.

The six-year-old was shot in the neck in Ballyfermot.

A man was detained on suspicion of withholding information.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.

Teenager And Young Child Injured In Alleged Shooting In West Dublin
An investigation has been launched into an alleged shooting incident in West Dublin. According to reports, a teenager and a young child have been injured in an incident that gardaí have said is "ongoing" in the Parlickstown area of Blanchardstown. Three Released Over Dublin Garda Shooting
Three people arrested in connection with the shooting of a garda in Dublin in September have been released without charge. Paul Sherlock was shot and injured on September 25 after he stopped a stolen car on Ossary Road in North Strand. A man and a woman, both aged 29, were arrested in Clondalkin on Sunday night.

Gardaí are appealing for help in tracing missing Dublin man Greg Ward. Mr Ward, 31, was last seen in Blanchardstown on Sunday 3 May. He is described as being 6'2" in height and has a vast amount of tattoos and piercings over his body. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Suspected Questioned Over Dublin Killing
A man is being questioned in connection with the suspected gangland shooting of a man in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin on Friday. The man, believed to be in his 30s, was detained on Friday and is being held under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007, at Ballyfermot Garda station.

One Arrested, One Freed Over Cannon Murder
A man has been released just as another was being arrested as part of the oingoing investigation into the murder of Anthony Captain, last June. The released man is in his 30's and Gardaí have said a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
