Fears For Up To 100 Jobs At Carlow Firm
Up to 100 employees at Dan Morrissey, a firm in the quarrying and concrete production industry in Carlow, are meeting to discuss concerns about the future of the business.
It is understood the firm attended court this morning, in the hope of having an examiner appointed.
160 people are currently employed by the firm in Carlow.
Dan Morrissey is a family-owned business established in the 1930s.

'Lower Than Normal' Temperatures Could See Snowfall Today - Met Éireann
Parts of Munster and Leinster could see snowfall today, Met Éireann has warned. The forecaster has said that rain is expected to turn to sleet and snow as temperatures fall to "lower than normal". A status yellow warning for rainfall has also been issued for counties Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wicklow, Offaly and Tipperary.

Yellow Weather Warning Issued For Heavy Rain
A yellow weather warning for rain has been put in place across many counties in Ireland. The warning came into effect at 11pm on Sunday night, 13 October, and is in place until 11.59pm on Monday, 14 October. The warning is for Munster, Connacht, Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Wexford, Offaly and Westmeath.

Irish Water has announced the water conservation orders have been lifted in the Southern, Eastern and Midlands regions. The areas that have had their order lifted include: Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Cork, Waterford, Wexford, Kilkenny, Carlow, Laois, Offaly, Wicklow, Meath, Westmeath, Louth and Dublin.
