Croke Park Residents To Protest DCC Meeting

A protest is to be held next Monday outside the monthly meeting of Dublin City Council (DCC) by residents of Croke Park over the upcoming Garth Brooks concerts.

The residents took the decision to protest at a public meeting held on the issue. They also agreed to demand an oral hearing into the concert licence application.

It is understood that DCC is expected to decide on granting a licence for the concerts by the end of the week.

The issue surrounding the five Garth Brooks concerts has been ongoing since the events were put on sale.

Residents have accused the organisers and the GAA of breaking an agreement over the number of events held at Croke Park in a year. They have also raised an issue over tickets for the concerts going on sale some months before a licence to put on the show could be applied for.
