Man In Serious Condition Following Sea Rescue
A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being rescued from the sea in Co Wexford.
An emergency operation was launched at about 19:00 on Wednesday after the man got into difficulty while swimming at Duncannon beach.
The man was pulled from the water and was receiving medical help when Fethard Coast Guard arrived and the man was transferred to Waterford University Hospital.
It follows a number of drowning related deaths within the past week.

Man Dies In Limerick Collision
A man has died in a crash in Co Limerick. The car veered off the road and hit a ditch at Dromsallagh at around 4.15am on Sunday, 05 June. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man is currently being treated for his injuries at the University Hospital Limerick. The road has been re-opened.

A man and two children have been airlifted to hospital after they got into difficulty while swimming in County Kerry. The Coast Guard was tasked to Derrynanne at around 12.20pm on Sunday afternoon, 18 August, following reports that a man and two children had been swept out to sea.

Man Dies In Tipperary Collision
A man, aged in his 70s, has died in a collision in Tipperary. He was killed after the car he was driving collided with another car in Borrisokane on Sunday, 05 June, at around 5.15pm. The woman in the other car sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated at Limerick University Hospital.

Gardai have launched an investigation following a suspicious fire at a house in Rhode, Co. Offaly on Monday. The incident occurred between 11.30pm on Sunday and 1.50am on Monday. A 24-year-old man sustained serious injuries and has been transferred to St James Hospital where his condition is described as critical.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.
