Gardaí Appeal For Anyone At Duncannon Beach To Contact Them

Gardaí have appealed for anyone who was in the area of Duncannon beach between the hours of 18:30 and 20:00 on Wednesday to contact them.

It is part of an investigation into the death of a man in, what has only been described as "an incident".

Garda are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the man's death, who is understood to have been pulled from the sea.

He was taken to Wexford General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact New Ross Garda station on (051) 426030, The Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Co Limerick Accident
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal accident in Hospital, Co Limerick, in which a 44-year-old man was killed. The man was walking on Main Street in the town at about 2am on Tuesday morning when he was hit by a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It is understood no one else was injured in the incident.

Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Cork Hit-And-Run
Gardaí in Cork have appealed for witnesses to a hit-and-run in Co Cork at about 19:30 on Tuesday. A 71-year-old woman is being treated in hospital after she was knocked off her bicycle at Haymount, Lower Woodstock in Carrigtwohill. Her injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.
