Two Arrested Over Waterford Assault
Gardaí in Co Waterford have arrested two men in connection with the assault and robbery of a teenager in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
According to gardaí an 18-year-old was forced to drive from Waterford city to a pub near Passage East shortly after midnight.
The teenager when then assaulted by the men after he tried to flee.
The alarm was raised by witnesses at the pub.
Two men, aged 19 and 21, were arrested a short time later in connection with the incident and are being held at Waterford Garda Station.

Former Irish Times Editor Dies
Journalist Ella Shanahan, has passed away in her County Waterford home. Ms Shanahan, 60, was the former London Editor of The Irish Times. She will also be remembered for her work in the RTÉ newsroom in the 1970s.

Gardaí investigating a serious sexual assault in Waterford city have arrested a man in his 20s. Garda say that the incident happened in the Millennium Plaza area of the city at about 4am on Sunday morning. A forensic examination of the scene on the quays was conducted on Sunday and garda say that their investigation is continuing.

Four Arrested Over Waterford 'Serious' Assault
Four people are being held in Waterford after what has been described as a "serious assault" in the town leaving one man in his 20s in a critical condition. Gardai said they have launched an investigation into the assault, which occurred at the Peoples Park, Waterford at approximately 11.45pm last night.
