Ticketmaster Urged To Include Fees In Brooks Refunds
Ticketmaster has been urged to refund booking fees and credit card transaction fees on Garth Brooks tickets.
Fine Gael has called on the ticketing company to include all fees in when refunding tickets for the now cancelled shows.
"Garth Brooks fans will be left feeling very disappointed this evening, following the announcement that all five concerts have now been cancelled. The last thing they need is for booking fees to be excluded from ticket refunds," Fine Gael Mayo TD and Chairman of the Oireachtas Committee on Transport and Communications, John O'Mahony, has said.
He added: "Customers paid up to €6.10 per ticket, which quickly adds up if you are buying multiple tickets. In many cases, families had planned to go together, and if booking fees are not refunded they will be left considerably out of pocket.
"Customers are not at fault here, and therefore they should not be penalised because the concerts have been cancelled. I am calling on Ticketmaster to ensure all customers are refunded in full; that means the full ticket price and any booking fees paid."
