Swimming Bans In Place At Three Dublin Beaches
High levels of E Coli and Enterococci contaminants have been found at two of Dublin's beaches.
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has issued a swimming ban for Killiney and White Rock beaches, while an investigation is carried out.
A temporary ban on bathing is also in place at Sandymount Strand, one of Dublin's most popular beaches. Water samples taken at the beach did not comply with quality standards.
It is understood that the ban will remain in place until further tests have been carried out.
