More Than 2,500 ESB Customers Without Power

More than 2,500 ESB customers are without power following outages in the south east and south west.

The company has said that some 1,700 customers in the Enniscorthy and Arklow areas have been affected, along with around 900 homes and businesses in the Killarney and Bandon regions.

Repair crews are said to be working on restoring power, the company has said.

ESB Continuing To Work To Restore Power After Storm Lorenzo
ESB have restored power to some 12,000 homes, farms and businesses, affected by Storm Lorenzo, while work continues to restore power to 3,600 customers still without power. A clean-up operation is underway across the west and northwest following the storm on Thursday. According to reports, substantial flooding was experienced across Donegal.

Power Restored To ESB Customers On Inis Meáin And Inis Oírr
Power has been restored to over 370 ESB customers on Inis Meáin and Inis Oírr following the completion of repair works. ESB Network crews installed a new specialised transformer on Monday afternoon, 08 August, and connected the two generators to the islands electricity system.

Line Fault Leaves ESB Customers Without Power
Some 1,500 ESB customers in Dublin were left without power on Monday following a network fault. It is understood that around 2,600 homes and businesses in the Blanchardstown and Coolmine areas were initially affected by the fault.

Thousands Of Homes Without Power After Severe Weather
Storms along the south coast of Ireland has left some 20,000 homes without electricity, ESB Networks has said. The electricity provider said power has been restored to around half of the effected customers, with the remainder in Cork, Waterford and Wexford hoped to be restored by lunchtime today.

Storm Damage Still Causing Problem For ESB Customers
Some 19,000 ESB customers are still without electricity, the energy company has reported. The number increased from 16,500 on Sunday following new faults in Tralee and Cappamore in Co Kerry, and Kilmore Quay in Co Waterford.
