Boil Water Warning Issued In Co Clare
A warning has been issued in parts of Co Clare over tap water following the discovery of increased manganese levels in the water supply.
The alert advises residents in the Kildysart Public and Coolmeen Group Water schemes not to drink tap water until further notice and has been issued by Clare County Council, the HSE and Irish Water.
Some 1,500 residents are thought to be affected by the warning, which states that water will be supplied by tankers and that is should be boiled before use.
Water tankers will be at the Kildysart Secondary School and outside the Hilltop Bar in Coolmeen from 10am.
Customers can visit www.water.ie or contact the Irish Water Customer Contact Centre on 1890 278278 for further information.

Boil Water Notice Issued In Co Limerick
A boil water notice has been issued to households and businesses in Co Limerick due to water pumping stations being affected by ongoing power outages. Limerick County Council said that is was "not in a position to guarantee that water supplies throughout the county are treated to the standards required by the drinking water regulations.
