Murder Investigation Launched Into Body Found In Co Meath

Gardaí in Co Meath have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a man's body in a field.

The body of Paul Gallagher (26) was found at about 17:00 on Wednesday. Gardaí said that he had been shot several times.

The body was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. A post-mortem is to be carried out today.

The scene remains sealed off for ongoing forensic examinations.

The body of a woman has been found in a house in Carlow. Gardaí say that the body of a 37-year-old woman was discovered at a house in the Craigcullen area of Carlow at about 21:45 on Sunday. The body remains at the scene to allow for a forensic examination. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.

Gardaí in Co Meath have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road crash on Thursday. A man in his 50s was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car at around 17:10 on the Millbrook Road in Oldcastle.

Gardai have launched an investigation following the discovery of a woman's body in a house in Dublin. The body of the 43-year-old was found in a house in Rathgar Road in Rathmines just before midnight on Wednesday. A forensic examination is being carried out and the body remains at the scene.

Man's Body Discovered At His Home In Co Cork
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body at a house in Douglas, Co Cork. It is understood that the body of a 66-year-old man was discovered in the hallway of his home, at Galway's Lane in Douglas, by his wife at about 8am this morning, Monday 02 July. Gardaí are treating the man's death as suspicious.
