Gardaí Investigate Pellet Gun Shooting In Cork Pub

An investigation is underway after a man suffered minor injuries in a shooting incident in a pub in North Cork on Sunday.

According to gardaí a 35-year-old man was shot in the neck with a pellet gun at about 20:00.

It is understood that a man entered the pub armed with the pellet, shot the man, and made off.

Gardaí say that they believe the gunman is aged around 30 but no arrests have been made. A firearm was recovered near the scene and it is being forensically examined.

A second man has been arrested over the unlawful possession of firearm in a pub in County Cork. Gardaí made the arrest yesterday evening. He is aged in his 30s and, according to Gardaí, is held in connection with the unlawful possession of a firearm at Blarney Sreet in Cork on May 21.

Four Injured In Dublin Shooting
Gardaí have said a man is in a critical condition in hospital following a shooting in Dublin. Three women were also injured in the incident. The shooting happened around 2.30am on Sunday morning, outside Hanlon's pub on the Old Cabra Road in the north of the city.

A man has been detained in Co Cork in connection with an incident in a city centre pub when Gardaí shot a man for refusing to surrender a firearm. Gardaí said today they had arrested a 29-year-old man shortly before midday in the south of the city.

Man Injured In Dublin Pub Shooting
A man is being treated in hospital following a shooting incident at a Dublin pub. A man was shot and injured at a pub in Sallynoggin at about 1am on Monday morning. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. He is being treated at St Vincent's University Hospital. Garda are investigating the shooting but say no arrests have yet been made.
