Gardaí Search For Car That Failed To Stop After Hitting Officer

Gardaí in Dublin are searching for a car that failed to stop after hitting a garda traffic officer and colliding with a Dublin Bus.

It is understood that the car was travelling the wrong way on a one way street when the officer tried to stop it. However the driver failed to stop, hitting the garda officer. The car then collided head-on with a Dublin Bus, before fleeing the scene.

The incident happened on College Street at around 08:25 on Tuesday morning.

Gardaí believe that the car may have been stolen.

Two Arrested In Connection With Dublin Drug Supply
Two men have been arrested in Dublin as part of a gardaí investigation into the supply of drugs in the city. Gardaí said the men, from Eastern Europe, were arrested by the Ballymun Drugs Unit in an underground car park on Tuesday night. It is understood the drugs, worth an estimated €500,000, were seized during the operation.
