Up To 70 Jobs To Be Lost With Drogheda Plant Closure
Up to 70 jobs are to be lost with the closure of Rexxam, a Drogheda-based manufacturing company.
SIPTU has confirmed that the Japanese-owned company, which has had its Drogheda site for 25 years, will close by the end of the year.
According to SIPTU, the company claim that the closure has been caused by the loss of 80% of its customers.
Sinn Féin Councillor Imelda Munster, described the announcement as a "devastating blow for the families directly affected."

Moneypoint Dispute Settled
The 200 Polish members of the TEEU working on the Moneypoint power station refit in Co. Clare today voted unanimously to accept the settlement terms of their dispute with ZRE. The Polish subcontractor which left them stranded with up to six weeks pay arrears has now gone into liquidation.
