Flanagan Meets NI Secretary In London Talks
Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Charlie Flanagan is in London today for talks on Northern Ireland, as well as a series of engagements with representatives of the Irish community.
The Minister met with NI Secretary Theresa Villiers to discuss current unresolved issues in Northern Ireland.
Speaking ahead of the visit, the Minister said: "The Irish government attaches the utmost importance to Northern Ireland and my talks with the Secretary of State will focus on how Northern Ireland’s parties can be encouraged back to the table to address outstanding issues including parades, flags, and the past."

The Irish Taoiseach is to meet the North's First Minister, Peter Robinson, and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness in separate meetings in Dublin on Friday. Brian Cowen will discuss the current impasse between the two leading parties, Sinn Féin and the DUP, over the devolution of policing and justice powers.

Justice Minister And Parading Talks Open
Northern political leaders will meet later this morning to discuss nominations for the position of Justice Minister. Nominations for the post officially opened yesterday, however a scheduled meeting between party leaders was postponed to allow the province's MPs to participate in a Commons discussion.
