Two Arrested In Connection With Christopher Zambra Murder

Gardaí investigating the murder of Christopher Zambra last May have arrested two men.

Mr Zambra (38) was ambushed on Coley Road in Drimnagh, on the 04 May when two vehicles blocked the front and rear of his car.

According to gardai a a volley of shots where fired into Mr Zambra's car as he tried to flee his attackers. Despite managing to escape he collapsed outside a house and died.

Gardaí have now arrested two men, aged 40 and 27, in connection with the murder under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 . They can be detained by gardaí for up to seven days.

Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.

Women Arrested Over Emily Barut Murder
Gardaí have arrested a woman in her 50s this morning as part of an investigation into the murder of Emily Barut. 11-year-old Emily died at her home on Bachelors Walk, Tullamore on 15 September 2012. The woman is due to appear at Tullamore District this morning at 10:30 charged in relation to the investigation.

Garda Granted More Time To Question Limerick MC Murder Suspects
Gardaí investigating the murder of a man outside a motorcycle club in Limerick, have been granted more time to question three men. A special sitting of Limerick District Court granted garda more time to question a 27-year-old man and two me aged in their 40s, arrested on Saturday in connection with the murder.
