Investigation Launched Into Wall Collapse Death

An investigation has been launched into the death of a 72-year-old man when a wall collapsed on him.

It is understood that the incident happened on Monday afternoon at St Patrick's Quay, Bandon.

According to reports the man was in his back garden when the wall collapsed on top of him.

The Health and Safety Authority has been informed as there was construction work happening at the scene at the time of the collapse.

A post-mortem is due to be carried out today.

Traffic Problems Ease Following Truck Incident
Traffic is reportedly returning to normal in Dublin after an overturned truck caused traffic chaos earlier. The truck overturned around 5:50am on Monday morning on the East Wall Road near the Point Depot. The truck and trailer have now been removed and a fuel spill was also treated.

Man Dies After Car Hits Wall In Co Meath
A man has died after his car collided into a wall in Co Meath. The incident happened at around 4:55pm at Clownstown on the Dunshauhlin to Navan road yesterday, 07 April. The victim, aged in his 30's, was seriously injured and taken to Navan General Hospital. However, he was later pronounced dead.
