Food Recycling Equipment Firm Creates 45 New Jobs

Forty five new jobs are to be created by food waste recycling equipment company, CaterWaste.

Announcing the jobs, the company said that they will be across Ireland and be based in sales, services and collection and processing of waste.

The job announcement came alongside the firm, which supplies equipment to recycle food waste, announcing a new range of dry waste food bio-mass machines that shorten the time it takes to transform food waste into material for composting.

23,000 new jobs are expected to created in the agri food sector by 2025. The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney, TD, announced plans for a new 10-year strategy named Food Wise 2025. Food Wise 2025 was officially launched by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD.

Three Inquiries Launched Into Oxigen Plant Fire
Three separate investigations have been launched into the Oxigen waste recycling plant fire. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Fire Service and Gardaí will all conduct their own investigations into the cause of the fire, which began on Saturday morning. Minister for the Environment announced the inquiries in the Dáil.
