Garda Search For Two Men Over Post Office Hostage Robbery

Gardaí in Dublin are searching for two men after three women were held captive during a post office robbery.

Garda say that three masked and armed men forced their way into the home of a post office employee in Malahide and held three women hostage while they forced the employee to go to the Bayside post office and hand over a substantial amount of money.

Garda say that members of the Emergency Response Unit intercepted the thieves getaway car on the Malahide Road.

Two men fled the scene but a third, understood to be aged in his 20s, was arrested and a quantity of cash was recovered.

The men garda are searching for are said to be aged in their 40s and 50s. One is described as having grey white hair, of chubby build, and about 5'10'' in height. The other is described as being of chubby build with dark grey hair.

Both men are said to speak with a Dublin accent.

Garda Seek Four Men Over Armed Post Office Robbery
Gardaí are seeking four men in connection with an armed robbery of a post office in County Kerry. Two men, one carrying a pistol and the other a baseball bat, entered the Tarbet Post Office at about 16:00 on Tuesday and threatened staff while a third man stood blocking the door. There were no customers in the post office at the time.

Woman Arrested Over Kerry Post Office Raid
A woman has been arrested in connection with an armed raid at a post office in Co Kerry. The suspect was arrested at around 5.30pm in Killarney on Thursday, 04 August. A sum of cash was stolen from Waterville Post Office at around 11am on Wednesday, 03 August. Two men were arrested in the area after the incident.
