Workers Occupy Tower Crane On Building Site

A tower crane in west Dublin has been occupied by workers in protest over under payment.

The workers are occupying the tower at the construction site of Kishoge Community College. UNITE union claims that bricklayers on the site are earning less than €5 an hour.

Developers for the site, JJ Rhatigan however deny the claim, saying that it is "completely untrue".

UNITE say that the protesters highlight the growing anger and frustration at the refusal of the developer to engage in talks over wages.
