Further Jobs Announced By Dell

Dell has announced it is to hire an additional 50 workers at its Dublin base.

The site, which is located in Cherrywood, will be home to a new research facility. It is understood the new positions will involve expanding the company's website to improve customer experience.

The recruitment process is expected to begin shortly for software engineers and other testers, it has been reported.

In a statement, Aonghus Hegarty, from Dell, said: "We're in three different locations between Dublin, Limerick and Cork. Over 2,300 employees across wide areas of businesses: services, marketing, sales, financial services.

"We announced 12 months ago the headquarters for a Dell bank for Europe for providing financial services here. This announcement today in our online, e-commerce business is very much aligning Dublin as a key location."
