Post-Mortem Due On Teenager Who Died After Football Match
A 15-year-old male has died after collapsing during a football match in Galway.
Hassan Taiwo collapsed during a Merlin Woods FC match in Doughhiska on Saturday.
He was attended to by emergency services at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Galway. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
A post-mortem is due to carried out today to establish the cause of death.
Hassan was a student at St Joseph's Patrician College in Galway.

ESB Continuing To Work To Restore Power After Storm Lorenzo
ESB have restored power to some 12,000 homes, farms and businesses, affected by Storm Lorenzo, while work continues to restore power to 3,600 customers still without power. A clean-up operation is underway across the west and northwest following the storm on Thursday. According to reports, substantial flooding was experienced across Donegal.

Council Urged To 'Stop Stalling' On Flood Defence Works
Galway County Council has been urged to "stop stalling" and ensure that work on a flood relief channel between Kinvara and Chaermore is carried out "without delay". Making the call, Fianna Fáil General Election candidate for Galway East Cllr. Anne Rabbitte, raised concerns that the ongoing delays will see the project pushed out indefinitely.

Call For Larger Employers To Become 'Living Wage'
Lidl's announcement that it is to become a 'Living Wage' employer should be followed by other large employers, according to Labour Galway West TD Derek Nolan. Mr Nolan said work should always be worth doing and it should always pay. Mr Nolan said: "Jobs numbers are continually increasing and that is to be welcomed.

Status Yellow Wind Warning Issued
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo and Clare. West to southwest winds of mean speeds 45 to 65km/h with gusts of 90 to 110km/h are expected in western coastal counties throughout Friday and in the northwest during Friday afternoon and evening.
