Budget 2015 Lacking 'Real Imagination' - SF

The Budget 2015 has been described as lacking "real imagination", by Sinn Féin spokesperson on Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Michael Colreavy.

Speaking in the Dáil Deputy Colreavy said the government "had choices in this budget", claiming their own figures show that the debt to GDP ratio is falling, which allows them greater leeway in their fiscal policies.

"However, the government did not make the fair choices, ones that would have assisted the most disadvantaged in society," Deputy Colreavy said.

"This budget could have been a lot better for low and middle income earners as Sinn Féin’s alternative budget has shown."
