IMO Calls On HSE To 'Show' Its Preparedness For Ebola Case
The Irish Medical Organisation (IMO) has called on the Health Service Executive(HSE) to clarify what it plans to do in the event of an Ebola case in Ireland.
Speaking on RTÉ's Morning Ireland programme, IMO president Professor Trevor Duffy said that the HSE "saying" that it was ready was not enough and they needed to show "they were well-prepared to respond effectively to any threat."
In related news, Minister for Health Leo Varadkar is due to attend a meeting today (Thursday) with an Oireachtas committee to answer questions about the risk to Ireland from the Ebola virus.

Cabinet To Meet To Address Ebola Outbreak Concerns
Minister for Health Leo Varadkar has announced that the government will meet on Friday to discuss the growing Ebola outbreak. It is understood that all minister will update the Cabinet on their specific areas of responsibility, in an effort to allay growing concern over any possible threat posed by the current outbreak.

HSE Rules Out Ebola After Woman Undergoes Tests
The HSE has confirmed that Ebola has been ruled out after a woman underwent tests at a Dublin hospital following an Ebola scare. A woman was rushed to the Mater Hospital this morning with symptoms similar to Ebola.
