Suspected Bomb-Making Factory Uncovered In Dublin
Gardaí have uncovered a suspected bomb-making factory in Dublin.
It is understood that the owner of a storage facility on Blessington Road found the lock on the unit broken on Monday night at about 21:00. He discovered two men inside the facility "mixing chemicals".
The men, believed to be foreign nationals, fled the scene as the property owner called gardaí.
Upon initial investigation, gardaí believed that the site was being used to produce the drug crystal meth. However, an investigation by the Garda Technical Bureau on Tuesday ruled out drug making.
A further investigation of the site by army experts has found that the chemicals being used "could be used to make bombs".
The scene is being guarded by officers from the Special Detective Unit, while the army continue to examine the site.
No arrests have been made and garda say that the investigation is ongoing.
