News Of 240 News Jobs Welcomed

A total of 240 new jobs have been created in Galway, Dublin and Longford, it has been announced.

In Tuam, Co Galway, French-owned manufacturing firm Valeo will add an additional 140 full-time jobs at its Vision Systems facility in the town.

It is understood that most of the new jobs will be filled by people already with short-time working arrangements at the company.

In Longford, 70 new jobs are being created by C&D Foods as part of a €15m expansion in Edgeworthstown.

And in Dublin 30 new jobs are being created by Ammeon, in software development and test automation.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton has welcomed the news of the job creations.

60 News Jobs To Be Created In Galway
60 new jobs are to be created in Galway by US company Ipswitch, who will establish Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) support and operations centre in the city. Ipswitch will establish research and development, sales and technical support teams to help serve local customers and grow market shares in the region.

Taoiseach Announces 400 News Jobs
A total of 400 new jobs are to be created in Dublin, Cork and Galway over the next three years, it has been revealed. The Taoiseach and the Minister for Jobs made the announcement at an IDA event taking place at the Web Summit in Dublin.
