Man Arrested In Michael Devoy Murder Investigation

Gardaí investigating the murder of Michael Devoy in January this year have arrested a man in his early 20s.

A routine garda patrol in the Bohernabreena area of Tallaght, found the body of Mr Devoy on 18 January. He had been shot dead.

Garda have confirmed they have arrested a man in his early 20s in connection with the murder.

No other details have been given.

A man arrested in connection with the murder of Michael Devoy has been released without charge. The body of the 41-year-old, from Ballymun in Dublin, was found at Foxhill on 18 January 2014. A man in his 20s was being questioned by officers at Tallaght Garda Station. He has since been released. A file is being prepared for the DPP.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Man Pleads Not Guilty To Theft Of 136 Kegs Of Beer
A 53-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to the theft of 136 kegs of beer. Patrick Devoy of Church View, Church Street, Finglas appeared at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to face a charge of using a fake cheque to pay for beer worth €23,120 on December 6, 2011.
