The Dáil is to hold a debate on the allegations made by Maíria Cahill.

Ms Cahill has claimed she was raped by a member of the IRA when she was 16, then subsequently interrogated by the organisation after she spoke out about the crime.

The Taoiseach is due to open the debate shortly after 14:30 today (Wednesday), and each party leader will given 30 minutes to speak.

Following this another other member of the Dáil will given ten minutes to make an address.
