FAI Supports Roy Keane Following Alleged Row With A Fan

Republic of Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane has reportedly had an alleged row with a fan at a hotel near Dublin on Wednesday afternoon.

However, the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) claim the reports are inaccurate and is supporting Keane.

Keane was allegedly involved in an altercation with a fan in the reception area at the Portmarnock Hotel, where the team is staying.

The FAI said in a statement: "We wish to clarify that Roy Keane called the Gardai following the incident.

"The manager, Martin O'Neill, and the FAI are fully aware of the circumstances surrounding this event, and the assistant manager has their full support."

Gardai are investigating the incident.
