Firearm Seized And Two Arrested
Two men have been arrested and a firearm seized in a garda operation targeting criminal activity in south west Dublin.
A garda spokesman said a car was stopped on the N81 in Tallaght at about 22:00 on Monday night and a handgun was recovered.
Two men, aged 16 and 21, were arrested at the scene.
Gardaí said that the investigation was "ongoing".

Four Arrested And Firearm Seized
Four men have been arrested and a firearm seized following a Garda search in the Crumlin area of Dublin. Officers also recovered a telescopic sight and firearm component parts during the operation at Captain's Road in Crumlin, Dublin. The search began yesterday afternoon and was carried out by Dublin Metropolitan Region detectives.

Gardaí have arrested two men and recovered a firearm in an intelligence-led operation in Dublin. Officers from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Special Crime Task Force carried out a search operation at a residence in Ballyfermot on Tuesday night. A firearm was recovered at the residence.

Off-Duty Garda Tackles Suspected Armed Robber
An off-duty garda officer restrained a man in the street following an attempted robbery of a bookmakers in Saggart, Co Dublin. The 34-year-old was subsequently arrested and a firearm recovered from the scene, garda have said. A second suspected believed to have also been involved in the attempted robbery escaped the scene.

Two males have been arrested and a firearm seized by Gardaí investigating organised crime in Blanchardstown, Co Westmeath. The operation was carried out on Tuesday 03 December, with a fully loaded semi-automatic Makorav handgun removed from a vehicle.

Two Arrested Following Supermarket Raid
Two men have been arrested following a raid at a supermarket in the Clarehall area in Dublin last night. At around 10.30pm, two men armed with a knife entered the premises on the Malahide Road and threatened two members of staff, before tying them up and attacking them. The pair then left the scene with a sum of cash.
