Irish Water Staff Will Not Receive Bonuses

Staff at Irish Water will not receive any bonus payments for 2013 and 2014, a statement said.

Ervia, the company which owns Irish Water, released a statement which said it will not pay 'performance related awards' to any Irish Water employees, a decision it said was taken because Irish Water had not "earned sufficient public confidence".

It is understood almost a quarter of staff at Irish Water technically qualify for executive bonuses or performance pay and that the move to not make these payments will help improve the public mood towards the company.
