Dense Fog Weather Warning Issued

Dense fog has caused serious traffic disruption in many parts of Ireland.

Met Éireann issued a Status Orange warning, which said fog would greatly reduce visibility and be slow to clear.

A number of outbound flights at Ireland West Airport Knock were cancelled due to the fog, with some incoming flights diverted.

The weather forecaster said the fog will eventually lift, but warned motorists to exercise caution on the roads.
