Sinkhole Appears In Co Kerry
A large sinkhole has appeared in a green area of a private housing estate in Castleisland town in Co Kerry.
According to a report by the Irish Times, the hole appeared on Sunday morning at the Cahereen Heights estate and measured 15m x 6m.
Kerry County Council said it is continuing to monitor the hole.

Severe Floods In Cork, Limerick, Kerry, Clare And Waterford
Heavy rain and high tides have caused severe flooding in Cork, Limerick, Kerry, Clare and Waterford. Hundreds of residents and businesses have been effected by the flooding. Earlier today, Met Eireann issued an Orange weather warning and it is expected to remain in place until this evening.

An Taisce has today published the results of its objective study of the Planning Systems in 34 City and County Councils.

Man Injured In Kerry Stabbing
A man has been injured in a stabbing in Co Kerry. It is understood that the 35-year-old was stabbed during an incident in An Daingean. He was taken to Kerry General Hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not believed to be serious. Gardaí are investigating the incident.

Climber Rescued From Kerry Mountain
A man has been rescued from a ledge on the Connor Pass, north of Dingle in County Kerry. The climber got trapped on the ledge near Pedlars Lake at around 6.00pm on Wednesday evening and a rescue operation was immediately launched. The Dingle Cliff and Coastguard Rescue Team made contact with the man shortly before 9.30pm.
