Status Orange Warning For Fog

A Status Orange warning for fog is in place for many parts of the country, with road users warned to take care.

Met Éireann issued the warning for counties Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford.

Gardaí have warned drivers to "exercise caution and use fog lights in affected areas."

Status Orange Weather Warning Extended
Met Éireann has renewed a Status Orange warning for heavy, and at times thundery rainfall, which could lead to flooding. The weather warning, which advises people to "be prepared", covers counties, Connacht, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary. The warning was issued at 05:00 on Friday and remains in place until 03:00 on Saturday morning.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange weather warning for the region. The wind warning was issued on Sunday night (8 March) and is expected to remain in place until at least midnight on Monday. The warning if for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo. The forecaster said: "Southerly winds of mean speed 60-65km/h.
