Woman, 86, Struck By Car
An elderly woman has died after being struck by a car in Co Sligo.
The incident happened on the N15 at Cartron, Bundoran Road, at around 6.40pm on Tuesday (9 December).
The 86-year-old, who was a pedestrian, was struck by a car.
She suffered serious injuries in the accident and was taken to Sligo General Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
A post mortem is to be carried out.

Woman, 82, Dies In Road Accident
An 82-year-old woman has died following a road accident in Donegal. The crash occurred at around 3.50pm on Monday (18 August) at The Ross in Bundoran. Gardaí have said a car collided with a fence in the incident. The woman was transferred to Sligo Hospital but later died from her injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí.

The man who died after being knocked-down in the early hours of Sunday was hit by an off-duty garda, it has emerged. Jack Whelan, 23, who has been described as a promising young rugby player, was struck on the Clontarf Road in Dublin at around 6.30am.

A post mortem examination will be carried out today on the body of a 60-year-old man who died in hospital after being assaulted in Sligo town. Cyril Moran was assaulted at his home at River Road in the Cartron Point area of Sligo Town on Thursday morning.
