Ryanair Passenger Numbers Increase
Ryanair has confirmed its passenger numbers increased for December 2014.
Last month, the airline carried 6.02 million passengers, compared to 5.02 million in December 2013, an increase of 20%.
Its load factor, which is how many seats it fills on each flights, also increased by 7% last month, from 81% to 88%.
Kenny Jacobs, Ryanair's Chief Marketing Officer, said the figures were "thanks to our lower fares, our stronger forward booking strategy and the continuing success of our 'Always Getting Better' customer programme, which is delivering better than expected load factors in our significantly expanded winter schedule."

Aer Lingus has recorded a 7% increase in its passenger numbers for the month of August. Last month, the airline said it carried a more than 1,205 million passengers – an increase from 1,126 million passengers in August 2013. The number of long-haul passengers surged by more than 22% to 148,000 for the month, compared to 121,000 in August 2013.

Ryanair Traffic Increases For February
Ryanair has published its customer and load factor statistics for the month of February. For the month, traffic increased by 29% to 5.8m customers, while the airline's load factor grew by 11% points to 89%. In addition, its rolling annual traffic to February increased 9% to 89.1m customers.

Passenger Numbers Rise For Aer Lingus
Passenger numbers for Aer Lingus increased by 5.3% in September, the airline has announced. The total number of passengers it carried during the month was 1.041 million, 5.3% higher than the same month in 2013. Long haul traffic for the airline rose by 27.

Delays At Airport After Planes Clip On Runway
Minor delays were caused at Dublin Airport this morning after two Ryanair flights clipped each other while taxing to a runway. According to witnesses one plane lost a small section of its wing when it clipped another plane. No one was injured in the incident and the airport quickly returned to normal.
