Emergency Landing At Dublin Airport
A flight from Paris was forced to make an emergency landing at Dublin Airport on Monday night after the plane suffered a burst tyre.
The Air France flight 1016 departed from Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris at around 6.30pm (Irish time), when it is understood to have blown a tyre. The flight was scheduled to arrive in Dublin, but crew contacted controllers to advise them of the situation and emergency services were standing by for the plane's arrival.
The plane, an Avro RJ-85 jet, landed safely shortly after 8.10pm and passengers were able to disembark as normal.
An inspection of the plane then took place.
Cityjet, who operate the flight on behalf of Air France, later said an "incident" had occurred on the flight, confirming the plane suffered a blown tyre, and the flight was able to land safely.
