Body Of Man Recovered From Harbour

A man's body has been recovered from Howth Harbour, it has been reported.

According to RTÉ, the man is understood to have been a local fisherman but earlier this morning, he got into difficulty after he fell between two trawlers.

His body, which is said to have been in the water "for some time", was recovered by a local lifeboat crew.

A post-mortem examination is to be carried out.

Garda Investigate Shooting At Co Cork Home
An investigation has been launched after a shot was fired at a house in Co Cork on Monday. It is understood that armed gardaí responded to reports of a shot being fired at a house in Crookstown. When they arrived an elderly man is understood to have come out and spoken with garda officers at about 19:00.

An investigation has been launched after the discovery that €9,000 went missing from an evidence bag at a garda station in Co Dublin. The money was part of €26,000 recovered following a robbery at a shop and post office in Lusk in January.

Body Recovered In Search For Man Swept Away In River Nore
Gardaí searching for a 33-year-old man have recovered a body from the River Nore in Thomastown, Co Kilkenny. Officers have been searching for Derek Tyrrell since he was swept away by strong currents in the river in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Missing Man Body Recovered From Lake
The body of missing Crossmaglen man Padraig Campbell has been found. The 37-year-old’s body was recovered from a lake in Co Monaghon last night. Campbell, of Drumbroy Road, Castleblaney, has been missing from the 18 March. Gardai have described his death as a tragic accident, however a post-mortem will be carried out.

Man's Body Recovered Off The Coast Of Co Clare
The body of a man has been recovered from the water off the coast of Co Clare. Doolin Coast Guard recovered the body in an area known as Doonacore Bay, south of Doolin Point. The body was initially spotted shortly after 8am on Friday morning by members of the Doolin Coast Guard team, who were conducting a shore line search.
