Women Arrested Over Emily Barut Murder

Gardaí have arrested a woman in her 50s this morning as part of an investigation into the murder of Emily Barut.

11-year-old Emily died at her home on Bachelors Walk, Tullamore on 15 September 2012.

The woman is due to appear at Tullamore District this morning at 10:30 charged in relation to the investigation.

The body of a woman, aged in her 20s, was discovered at a house in the town in the early hours of this morning, Friday, 04 January. Woman Released Without Charge Over Donegal Murder
A woman arrested in connection with the murder of Seamus Donnelly has been released without charge. Mr Doherty was killed at his home in Drumacanoo on 17 June 2012. The woman, 57, was released this morning. A man, 51, who was arrested on Wednesday is still being questioned by garda.
